Our newest science unit is on the water cycle and weather. As part of our study we took part in the River Keeper's water festival. We spent the day visiting various stations and learning about the water in our world. Some of our topics included: how water moves, water pollution, water in our bodies, properties of water, the history of the Red River Valley, and water tables. Check out our adventure!

We were drawn for a Root Beer Float party from the Parent Association! What a sweet way to end the week. Also, we took a few class pictures today. We had some new friends visit us on Tuesday. However, they chose an unsafe place to sit and watch our class happenings. So, in science we did an investigation to build Harry a new perch that wasn't on top of the whiteboard. Our goal was to use teamwork and a bag of supplies to build Harry a perch that would help him sit as high above our desks as possible. The 4th graders came up with some creative ideas! It has been so fun getting to know this new group! They are hardworking and love to learn! Here are a few pictures from our first few days. They include moments from our science explorations, learning about the classroom economy, and having fun in our photo frame! |
